A friend of mine, Jeff, let me fire his Glock 20.

I'm rather convinced that it fires 105mm howitzer rounds, but he assures me it's only firing normal 10mm ammunition. These pictures were taken with my new digital camera, a SiPix SC-1300. It has a feature that lets you take 4 pictures (sans flash) in 2 seconds, by hitting the button once. I couldn't get the timing right to get any of Jeff popping shots off, but these four are of me firing--taken expertly by Jeff.

Note the massive recoil and muzzle flip of this thing. I'm no trained shooter, and I'm sure that's part of it, but my recovery time was a lot longer than I'd really like.

It was a full two seconds before I had the gun re-stabilized and was ready to squeeze off another shot.

I'm sure my friends who are actually GOOD at shooting (shown above, sans Jeff--sorry, man, I didn't get a picture of you!) will happily tell you that it only took me two full seconds because I'm a girly man. That's probably true. I'm not a big guy, and I have to admit I prefer 9mm and even .22 to larger cartridges.
